So, I was thinking about how I could get people to listen to The Saturday Morning Show. I know that listening live is really mostly for the TRULY MADCORE of you, so I record every show, Publish and Syndicate it! I publish on Hipcast (www.hipcast.com) and publish the feeds with FeedBurner and iTunes. If you use iTunes click this image.
** If you Don't already have iTunes installed I figured out another way that you could subscribe. You can use the Google Reader and subsribe to the Feed. It may sound complicated, but I assure you - it's not! ;-)
The best part is, once you're subscribed all you have to do is log in and the episodes will show up. I usually publish right after the show is over, but since I may have to work or do some editing on the show, I will only guarantee that they will be posted by 9pm EST. All you have to do to get, and listen to the 2 (or +) hour show is log into your Google Reader Account. Once in, you can listen and pause the show, and surf around and do other stuff. This is seriously easy. I've written out simple directions and even posted some pictures.

wow. I really seem like I've stopped bloggin. It certainly feels that way to me, so I am SURE it feels that way to you. If you're still out there.
I finally got my own laptop! It came in the mail yesterday! It's massive, and the CTRL button is only on the left, so I am still getting used to it. The caps lock is also in a weird place, but I'm slowly getting better. I moved nearly all of my music from the desktop over yesterday, and as soon at hubbies computer gets back I will be moving the music from there as well. I think I've downloaded all the programs I can from the net, but there's at least one that I'm waiting on from the desktop. I've already zipped it up, and I'm uploading it now; soon I will be downloading it and installing it. Then there's of course the matter of the music program I signed up for, but can't remember, and can't find an email about. I guess I'll have to wait till the other laptop gets back to see what it was called, cause I downloaded the software and everything. All in the quest to fill this new monstrosity with music to play on The Saturday Morning Show. Ooh, I made a myspace page for the show. It's sort of sucky, but what mySpace pages aren't?! http://www.myspace.com/saturdaymorningluka Add me, won' you?!
*The Laptop. She's been named. The Blue Vortex. Yay!
Last week was crazy with work, and while this one has been less crazy, I still only get one day off. Which was yesterday. Today I work till like 9, tomorrow too, then RIGHT after my show Sat I gotta get on the road to take two clients bowling. I am way behind on case notes, but I'm taking this monstrosity with me today so that I can bang them out tonight. Even without having Internet at Fred's place I've got PLENTY to listen to. My iTunes is filled with muisc, plus copies of NORML podcast and podcasts from MojoRadioLive. (I actually found the NORML stuff when on Mypsace yesterday, they're cool like that. I've got the new iTunes too. It's pretty. We likes pretty. It's also BLUE. Which totally seems to fit with my new Blue Vortex! ;-) (which is a Toshiba satellite with a 60gig harddrive. some other cool numbers too, ones that hubby is happy about for gaming. although we need to get a usb mouse, cause the extra one we have is a diff kinda plug.)
and i STILL haven't done any laundry. it's amazing that I keep finding clean(ish) clothing to wear. Oooh, I know. Gross ;-)

I may not be able to do a show this morning. It's currently 2:54 am, and my laptop (not the new one, but hubbies, but the only one we have) has apparently decided to stop reading it's power source. It's no bueno, but hopefully it's something we can fix down the road. In the mean time I downloaded Winamp and Shoutcast to this old clunker of a desk top. I did a test run tonight, and while I sounded normal I couldn't get the music to play. From either iTunes or from winamp. I had this problem last weekend too, it took me fucking 52 minutes to get the dang music to play. But wouldn't you know it - I can't remember where that little box was that caused SO much freaking trouble. So, In the end, I might not be able to do my show. Cause, well, no one REALLY wants to listen to me just TALK for two hours. I'm gonna try to get up before the show and try it some more, when I'm not so near tears. Cause this shit blows. Two weeks looking forward to it, and then, bam, slam, nothing!
I think I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now.

Saturday September 16th 9am EST /8am CST! Be there, or be a rectangle!
I will be in the ChatRoom for the whole show, so come in and say HI! This week I've got an Alphabet feeling going on, picking and ordering the songs by Title. I've already got A-Z and I'm getting ready to start over! It should be a damn good time!

I full expect to look like I've dropped off the face of the earth in the next week. My To Do list. Four Dr's appoints, three new clients, 2 already planned late nites at work, 1 play-list for The Saturday Morning Show, a couple a promos, and a partridge in a pear tree. Wait, I lost my train of thought.
And the calendar on my wall still says August. Goody.

Wow. It seems like I haven't written a proper blog post, in, well, forever. I'm not sure why I've been "pulling away" from this blog, or even if I have been. It just seems like Ive been really busy lately. With work, with new internet projects, with stuff around the house. I don't know really. I've sort of been trying to keep up with the blogs I read though, via bloglines. I can't even say this will all change soon, cause I don't know if it will. I do miss bloggin', so I'm not sure why I've been doing this. It's weird. Shit, I even stopped that 100 facts thing like at fact 6, DAYS ago. It's just sad. I did get this blog upgraded to EE 15. though, and the Blogarity site too - so the forum isn't the old boring default now! :-)
I've been spending a lot of time, or at least I did last week, getting my playlist ready for my show. My next show isn't until the 16th, so that's what I will be doing this week. Also, working a lot, since TWO people are going on vacation this week. I can use the money, so that's nice, but since I haven't gotten my own laptop yet it means many hours sittin someplace with no way to work on anything related to to the show. Which sucks, but that's the way it works. I'm sure I can get it gone though! My show had about six live listeners, but I've had loads of people say they listened to it recorded. It seems people mostly like it; no one's said it sucks anyway. Hopefully, even if people really think that, they'll just keep their mouths shut. lol I even submitted the damn thing to iTunes - so you can subscribe THAT way if you wanted to. The show is also up on the station's podOmatic archive site - here Sunday morning is Diz's first broadcast! She's doing a show called My Show Called Radio show and it broadcasts from 9-11am EST Sunday's. You should definitely check it out! Not only is SHE really funny, but her music choices are bound to be wicked too! ;-) Plus, she listened to MY show live and that warms me all the way to my cockles! (oooh. that reminds me, I need to find the ASSHOLE song by Dennis Leary!) The station is pretty bad ass all the time, even when it's NOT live though. You should give it a listen, there's no commercials even! ;-)
is so very easy on Vox. It's like skin switching practically. don't be suprised that every single time you visit it's a different layout. i can't help it! ;-) i'm like 6 and 1/2 years old on the inside! ;-)

Our neighbors just to the North are movin out. All morning long ive heard people walk up the stairs, down the stairs. Up the stairs down the stairs. ICK
I've totally fallen in LOVE with Mojo Radio Live! You should totally give it a listen! Not only does the music rock, but they've got cookies. The good kind! ;-) Oooey Googey chocolate ones. ;-)
I made some more FimoClips last night. I made 8, three of which are gifts for people. As soon as my batteries recharge, and i don't mean that figuratively, I will take some pictures. I ordered some more dough from an online place. I tried to pick a rainbow of colors, and I got some glittery and glow in the dark dough too. I'm excited to see what I can make. I think I'm going to run out of people to give these clips to though. I've almost already got more than I need. :-)
I've been trying to reconnect with old friends lately. I'm really looking foward to the future when I'm back in my hometown (or the surrounding area) and not here in sunny muggy Florida. Hubby and I were talking about this the other day. We're both ready for the change. We've been here 5 years now, and it's about time we get to the next step. Hopefully that step takes us back to the KCMO area, and to that end I'm trying to reconnect with people who still live there! ;-) Don't wanna go back and not have anyone, save the Tubes*, to talk to! ;-) It's fun at anyrate. These are people I just lost contact with, not had fights with or anything! ;-)
*See, I've gone from calling it the internets, to the tubes here. Somebody suggested that maybe i was picking up Bush Slang, and we know how much I loathe Teh Shrub. so maybe the Tubes will stick. But somehow I doubts it internets. Somehow I doubts it! :-)
Figuratively I need to recharge my batteries. I gave blood yesterday and today I'm feeling a little run down. I had some plans for later today but I think I am going to put them off and rest instead. I'm actually feeling kinda dizzy and wozzy right now. Which, I know, it's not good. So I might be making a calling to blood bank later today to ask em what to do.
well shoot. nevermind.
basically it was cute. it said that i would be defined in the dictionary..

Fact 003
I am Cherokee. {wiki} On my fathers side, I am 1/116th. It's a reeeealy small amount, I know. But I've got a card that says I am part of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. I really don't know much about that part of my history. Little bits of pieces. But I've always felt connected to it, at least in a small way. Some of you may remember this, but I do have ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War - the winning side too! ;-) {link} Mostly I am of English and French decent, a lil Irish thrown in there for good measure. I'm pale, pale pale, with light eyes and hair. {most recent pic} I've colored my hair red for as long as I can remember, but recently I've been letting the brown grown and and come through. It's a light brown though - like my mothers. And my grey, yupp, it's growing in just like hers too. (Side note - I actually want to color my hair again, but I dont want to cover the pretty silvers that are showing up on my right temple, just like hers. I'm torn. Maybe I should take a poll.) I don't think I really look Cherokee, but I am. Even if it's just a little bit.
