So, a while back, I created a bumper for my Blog. I created it for a podcast. It hasn't aired on that podcast - and I just can't keep it under wraps any longer! Don't you just love it?! It's not arrogant at ALL is it?! :-)
Oh. P.S I've finally gotten last weeks show all uploaded. It's four hours long, but it's in four 1 hour parts, so you're good to go! :-) See the playlists, listen to, and download the shows on the TSMS blog. http://www.thesaturdaymorningshow.net/

This is the second week in a row that I've done this. This being Tuesday Tuneage. Today I am posting the song "Overkill" by Colin Hay from the Scrubs soundtrack. I don't watch that show, usually, but Zack Braff and I certainly seem to have similar taste in music. I loved the soundtrack he put together for Garden State, it was just brilliant. I remember seeing this particular episode of Scrubs, mostly because I think I tuned in because I am a big Man at Work fan. It's also fitting because it's a little after 2am now as I'm posting this, and I really can't get to sleep. Enjoy the Aug 21st Tuesday Tuneage. (Heh, now that I've finished this whole thing I realize I should have picked a song about or for my dad. It's his birthday today. Today he turns 58! I love you Papa!).

My beast of a laptop is now in the shop. (yes again*) We'd hope that maybe it was something simple like a power cord failure. IF we can fix it for a reasonable price then we well. IF we can't I am getting a new one. I don't know which I want more. A new one - or mine back so that I can get back to doing my shows n shit! Having to share with the hubby (or use the ridiculously show desktop) sucks. A bit of good news is that I should be able to get a new one before the end of Jan if we go that route, but it's a big expense and I'm not too much looking forward to that. Also hoping that I don't have sound card issues. See, I guess I lucked out on my old clunker of a laptop cause it works perfectly with Audacity and Shoutcast to do my show. Hubbies does not. I have to switch things around AND I can't record the whole show because it will ONLY record whats coming thru the mic. It's because of the sound card, and my worry is my new one will have the same sort of issues. Which will make me very VERY sad. But, there are fixes for it, they're just expensive. Like I said, I'm not sure what I want. Mine - back, fixed, and ready to go OR a Shiny new laptop that's light and pretty and brand spanking that won't crash on me several times a day.
I'm fighting a cold. It will not win. I gave blood yesterday so I was kinda wiped at the end of it, but I'm doing better today. Running late cause apparently I SET my alarm but didn't turn it on. Good thing my job has a flexible schedule. Go me :-) I'm also still using Twitter a lot. You can see my badge in the last entry (here) and it updates when I do. Which is a lot because I can do it from my cell phone when I am at work. There aren't many things I actually CAN do from my cell phone - but txt messages is one of them so it's super cool! :-)
*You might not know, but the day after Christmas the computer just died and then wouldn't turn back on. It would act like it was going to, and actually sometimes start, but then it would just die again. I had to do my show in KC (with my mom and dad - that I still haven't been able to edit and upload) on my husband's computer and it was a nightmare. Yesterday makes it three weeks that I've been without my own laptop. IT makes me feel funny. Also - it's totally changed the way I interact with the internets. For small short bursts and not much chatting or listening to iRadio.

Since...oh...sunday evening...ive been sufferign from a massive head and chest cold. it reeeealy sucks. i dont feel like im getting better, only the same or worse. i am taking tylenol cold meds and nyQuill (f'ing finally) at nite. i'm also using afrin nose spray so I can breathe. i am also taking Airborne. i make hubby take it too, that way he can't catch what I have. i want to feel better. i want to have energy. i want to be able to breathe. this coughing wheezing stuffy head shit is for the birds. 5th day too. i dont have a fever, but I am of course worried that bronchitis is on its way - what with all the coughing and not being able to breath/using an inhailor. (sp) at least my dreams are getting better. :-) i know that there are loads of spellin errors. but im too lasy to copy the entry into gmail and spell cehck it. and the spell check here in my EE looks crazy. sorry :-)

Driving TO the dentist some asshat in a big blue Gas Guzziling/Earth Killing SUV decided he wasn't going to turn Left at the light like his lane and arrow said, but that he was going to go straight and then try and merge into the right lane. All without using turn signals I made add. Crazy person.
The dentist was a blur. It's going to take a LOT of money to fix hubbies teeth, but he needs it. Not that we can afford it, but that's what credit cards are FOR, right? ;-) I even got some work done while there, 2 appointments set for clients. Go me.
Nearly, at the last light before you turn onto our street I remembered that I hadn't stopped to get the stuff for my nose. See, I snore and it drives my husband bat shit crazy. And since I've run out of my nose stuff we spend all night him yelling at me to stop snoring, and me rolling over, trying to keep myself awake until he falls asleep, or telling him to shut up. It's just not pretty. But I keep forgetting. So while witting at that light I did the only think I know reliably works to make me remember. I got out a pen and wrote it on my hand. It's still there. But the reason that I mention this is because about 2 min later, maybe less, the kid in the car in front of us, rolls down his window and starts yelling at me! "You got a problem!?" He's sort of yelling and pointing and my husband and I have NO idea what he's all mad about. He's now yelling something about me having his plate number. My window doesn't roll down, so were just sort of stuck. He turns around and leaves us alone. At first we tried to figure out what the hell was wrong, and hoped that he would get out of our way soon. Then when we pulled into our complex I reailzed that he must have seen me get the pen out and write something down. Paranoid Much!? Geeeze. Somebody had a wake and bake that didn't go well today, I guess. Crazy person! :-)
I swear to god, if I see another case note it will be too soon. And I've still got 1 4 week client to finish and 4 one week clients to fnish up, before I can turn the whole mess in and get a paycheck. Ugg

So this year, just like the past 4 years, during the first week of October I find myself looking at hundreds of boobie shots! Oh, not because I'm all porn obsessed or anything, but because it's the Boobiethon! This is the 5th year! - can you believe it 5 years! - for the Boobiethon, and already Robyn and her gang of merry miscreants have raised $2305.00 (last update at 8:10 p.m. EDT on 10/02/06)! And That's just since the start of the event on the 1st at 12:01am EDT. Seriously! Check it out. Submit a picture, donate some money - whatever you gotta do, do it! ;-) Boobies are important, yo! :-)

So...I had just saved started editing my show when I realised I should save it. Then Audacity Froze. I lost my show. All 2 hrs + of it. I can't have that. It just hurts me. So, tomorrow after Diz's Show - My So Called Radio Show - at roughly 11am EST I am going to REDO the show. I will use the same playlist - Alaphbetical Order by Song Title. I think I will even reopen the poll so that people can vote again! I'm going to record it like, just like I always do, and *cross your fingers* post and share it with the world! I hope that maybe you can tune in and listen! :-) Diz's show is just such an awesome show! You must check out her as well, it starts at 9am EST on Sundays! It's my own fault that I didnt hit save first. That will be my 100% FIRST thing tomorrow! :-) Don't be a rectangle! :-)

So, ive had this laptop a week now, right. Dince monday nite, it's devloped an issue where it just shuts down. Yupp. No warning, no thing, just wham bam Fuck you Maam! It really sucks. It seems to only happen when the thing is plugged in too. Which means I can only run the computer for as long as the battery lasts. We're hoping that we can fix it. But, it might just be a design flaw with the Toshiba. Gaa!
